As usual 8th Sheppey hosted the J.O.T.I for Sheppey district. This year we arranged for broadband access both at our hut and at The Freedom Centre. This allowed us to have many more computers connected to the internet and access JOTI. We had 4 PC's connected at the Freedom Centre for the Scouts and 6 at our hut for the Cubs and Beavers, unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances we had to cancel all but our own Beavers and Cubs, but the Scouts run as planned. This year we changed the format a bit and instead of giving all the groups a time slot we said it was open access and gave section leaders from the other groups in district the options of arranging a time slot if they wished. Due to a mix up with some Scout sections thinking it was cancelled for them only a few turned up. While this was a little disappointing it did mean those that came had lots of time online and the maximum we had was 3 scouts per PC, with none waiting We made contact and had conversations with 60 different countries and got back 20 validation cards Countries we spoke to on J.O.T.I
