Beavers finding out about Scout shirts from around the world
The evening came about due to a conversation
at winter camp as Tic-Tac and David chatted one night about what their section
on some nights
As a result the Beavers section had a visit from a
David who is a Scout leader from 31st
Gravesend.
He brought down some of his collection of Beaver, Cub and Scout
shirts and Necker's from around the world.
David explained where they came from and showed them they all
had a "world badge" as we are all in the world wide family of Scouting
Below are some of the pictures of the Beavers trying on the
shirts to see what they looked like in them, some where a bit big for the
Beavers, but they did not care
They were amazed at the number of badges on his camp blankets
and had fun trying to work out where some of them come from.
At the end of the evening he presented the Beavers with his
groups Necker as they had been so well behaved.
The Beavers thanked David for an interesting evening and his
wife Lisa for bringing down some lovely muffins they all had at tuck break.

American Den leaders Shirt,
David explained that in America, the groups have
numbers not names, and that where we have sixes they have Dens, so a den
