Sheppey District Beaver Log Competition 2005

Sheppey District run the annual Beaver Log competition.

This is a competition started by Sheppey District Fellowship back in 1995

Each year beavers from all over the district compete in a variety of challenges for the trophy,

The trophy is a piece of wood chewed by beavers mounted on a wooden plinth and presented by a member of fellowship to the winning team

This year the challenges were

During the competition the hall was quiet except for the sound of the tins crashing down, and we did get a request for quieter tins please.

			The crisp tasting challenge, they had to taste one crisp from each plate and write down the flavours,

			This was the word search challenge, it was a beaver related word search

			This is Madge the Badge from Sheppey District Fellowship ensuring fair play on the word search (the name Madge the Badge comes from the fact Madge is our district badge secretary)

			This was the transfer a pea challenge. they had to transfer as many peas as possible from one plate to the other in the time allowed, using only the straw

			This was the Hoopla challenge, no explanation required I think, except when certain beavers we up, you had to DUCK!!!!

			This was the Beaver biscuit challenge. start with a biscuit, coat it with chocolate icing then arrange sweets to make a beavers face

			This was the Tin Can Knock Down challenge, they had 6 balls each to knock down the cans, which were then counted and restacked for the next beaver

			After all the challenges were done then Beaver had fun with the parachute while the scores were added up

			All the beavers tired and happy after an afternoons fun and games I bet not many of the Beaver biscuits made it home!!!
